Solving Spaces is a Cape Town–based interior consultancy with projects spanning four continents. For over two and a half decades, Natalie Thiart has worked across a broad spectrum of the interiors industry—from curating and selecting spaces for print and telling their stories, to designing environments for private clients, as well as retail and commercial ventures.
Some of these spaces have been featured in publications, while others remain deeply personal, created to be experienced only by those for whom they were designed.
An integral part of this journey has been product design, ranging from bespoke pieces created for specific interiors to collections that have made their way onto retail floors. Long-standing client relationships often evolve into ongoing collaborations, including the curation of private art collections, their placement, and the sourcing of new acquisitions.
At its core, Solving Spaces approaches interiors as an ever-evolving process—one that responds to the shifting needs, purpose, and aspirations of the people who inhabit them.
The studio believes that the environments we create form the foundation of our daily lives: grounding us, offering refuge, and inspiring the way we live.
